La Galerie de Tout est heureuse d'annoncer son exposition d'été, BOLS, POTS, VESSELS, URNES, CRÉATURES, TABLES, MÂTS : une enquête sur les pratiques céramiques instinctives du XVIIIe au XXIe siècle.
S'inspirant d'un poème abyssin imaginaire, BOLS, POTS, RÉCIPIENTS, URNES, CRÉATURES, TABLES, GROSSES occupe tout l'espace de la galerie, rassemblant plus d'une douzaine d'artistes et de créateurs de tous horizons.
Des œuvres anonymes et des fragments archéologiques contrastent avec des formes de boue émaillée du Mississippi de George Ohr , des récipients aquatiques des frères Martin , du matériel photographique effondré d' Alan Constable et des divinités de la forêt japonaise de Shinichi Sawada - chacun disposé sur les élégants plateaux de table fabriqués par le potier, peintre et poète Matthew Lutz-Kinoy .
Cet affichage tactile est si insaisissable qu'il se dilate et se contracte tout au long de son cycle de vie, ce qui signifie que le spectacle d'un mercredi matin peut être différent de celui d'un dimanche après-midi. Quelle frustration, et pourtant quelle perfection, dans un monde où les plus grands exploits de la poterie se réduisent aux tulipes et à l'heure du thé.’ (NDLG)
